Charles Oliveira was released from the hospital today in Saskatoon after being admitted on Sunday night following his UFC Fight Night 74 bout against Max Holloway.
According to a statement released by the UFC on Tuesday evening, preliminary test results for the UFC featherweight for major chest, neck or throat injuries were negative.
“UFC featherweight Charles Oliveira has been released from medical care in Saskatoon today and will be traveling home tomorrow,” the UFC statement said. “Preliminary test results for major chest, neck or throat injuries were negative and Oliveira will have a follow up appointment with his local physician upon returning home. Oliveira is in good spirits and appreciates the support he’s received from his fans during this time.”
A timetable for the potential return for Oliveira has not been determined at this time.
