A key flyweight bout has been announced for November’s UFC Fight Night 79 in Mexico as Henry Cejudo will meet Jussier Formiga on the main card.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Monday evening.
UFC Fight Night 79 will come from the Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on November 21 and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Matt Brown meets Kelvin Gastelum.
Cejudo (9-0) made his UFC debut at the end of last year and has gone 3-0 in the promotion. He is coming off a decision win against Chico Camus and he has won his last five fights by decision. Formiga (18-3) is currently on a three fight winning streak and has gone 4-2 in the UFC. His last two victories have come by decision and his most recent win came in May against Wilson Reis.
