Johny Hendricks vs. Tyron Woodley official for UFC 192

A rumored welterweight bout is now official as former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks will meet Tyron Woodley at UFC 192 on October 3.UFC 192

The fight booking was announced on today’s edition of UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1.

UFC 192 will come from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be headlined by a title fight as Daniel Cormier defends the light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson.

Hendricks (17-3) is coming off a win against Matt Brown in March at UFC 185 and he is 2-2 in his last four fights. His last three wins have come by decision and his last stoppage win came in 2012 against Martin Kampmann. Woodley (15-3) has won his last two fights and is 5-2 in the UFC. His last win came in January as he defeated Kelvin Gastelum by split decision.
