Nate Diaz will be returning to the octagon in December as he will meet Michael Johnson in a lightweight bout at UFC on FOX 17 in Orlando.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Monday evening.
UFC on FOX 17 will come from the Amway Center on December 19 and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against Donald Cerrone.
Diaz (17-10) last appeared in the octagon in December of last year and lost a decision to Dos Anjos. He has dropped three of his last four fights and his last win came in November of 2013 against Gray Maynard. Johnson (16-9) will enter this fight following a controversial decision lost against Beneil Dariush earlier this month. The defeat snapped a four fight winning streak and it was his first defeat in over two years.
