The one-night tournament is becoming a trending topic in mixed martial arts and the World Series of Fighting has announced they will be holding a one night, eight-main lightweight tournament on November 20 at WSOF 25.
WSOF Executive Vice President Ali Abdel-Aziz announced the tournament on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour on MMA Fighting.
Six of the eight fighters in the field were announced by Abdel-Aziz on Monday with those fighters being Islam Mamedov, Mike Ricci, Joao Zeferino, Rich Patishnock, Jorge Patino, and Brian Cobb. The other two spots will be given to the winner of the WSOF 23 bout between LaRue Burley and Brian Foster, along with another unnamed fighter.
WSOF 25 will come from Seattle, Washington and Abdel-Aziz also confirmed today that recently signed lightweight Jason High will meet Caros Fodor on the November 20 card.
