UFC 192 adds Joseph Benavidez vs. Ali Bagautinov, Rose Namajunas vs. Angela Hill

Two new fights have been added to the UFC 192 card with the matchups being Joseph Benavidez vs. Ali Bagautinov and Rose Namajunas vs. Angela Hill.UFC 192

Both fight bookings were confirmed to the Houston Chronicle by the UFC today.

UFC 192 will come from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on October 3 and will be headlined by a title fight as Daniel Cormier defends the light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson.

Benavidez (22-4) is currently on a three fight winning streak and is 7-2 in the UFC flyweight division. This will be his second fight in 2015 as he defeated John Moraga at UFC 187 in May. Bagautinov (13-3) recently came off suspension following his failed drug test at UFC 174. He lost to Demetrious Johnson by decision at UFC 174 and the defeat snapped an eleven fight winning streak.

Namajunas (2-2) was a finalist during The Ultimate Fighter 18 and lost to Carla Esparza in the final for the inaugural strawweight title. She was scheduled to return in May at UFC 187, but the fight was canceled on fight day when her opponent was pulled from the event. Hill (2-1) was also a participant during The Ultimate Fighter 18 and won her official UFC debut against Emily Kagan. She will enter this fight following a defeat as she lost a decision in June against Tecia Torres.

  1. UFC is counter programming Bellator again. 1st they counter programmed Bellator 123 after their big PPV success. And now after their highest rated event ever. I hope Bellator blows them outta the waters. I told you the UFC is so corrupt and the biggest monopoly ever. They hate competition more than any other company. Remember when the ppl at Fox said Spike better watch their ass? Well this is only the beginning.. Plus the whole bullshit signing Rampage while he’s still under contract with Bellator. ufc hates when other ppl are successful other than themselves.. Their empire will slowly but surely crumble. Just wait and see. Nothing lasts forever.

    1. Here are some facts for you:

      A) The Ultimate Fighter Finale 22, now schedule for December 11 was initially scheduled for December 12. The UFC moved the December PPV from the 5th to 12th to get away from the NCAA Conference Football title game, which was an extremely smart decision.
      B) The rumored December 11 Bellator card is not official. Yes, I have asked about this.
      C) On last years Foxwoods (UFC) and Mohegan (Bellator) – The UFC had that date booked with FOX Sports for months and was working on a venue. They had been working with Foxwoods for some time for that date. It just happened to get announced after Bellator announced the Mohegan show.

      On Rampage, it’s a very long story. It’s an issue between Rampage’s manager (Anthony McGann), Bellator, and the UFC.

  2. Do you think they will go head to head or you think they change their times like last time? Both will prolly stack their cards that night.

    1. If I was Bellator, I would move the December card to another date. Remember, if they go that week, they will struggle for media coverage due to all of the media that will be in Las Vegas for UFC 194.

      1. That’s true. They should move it. Btw when will they announce the 4 man lhw tourney do you know? Will it be on the day of the weigh ins or were they joking about that. on Bellator’s Twitter page it says it’s a 5 man tourney. It might have been a honest mistake.

        1. Bellator has not announced when the opening round matchups will be announced or when the fighters will be informed who they are facing in the opening round.
