The medical suspensions for WSOF 22 have been released by the Nevada Athletic Commission and four fighters on the card are facing a potential six month suspension.
The commission released the medical suspensions on Monday and the suspensions were forwarded to TheMMAReport.com after they were requested.
WSOF 22 took place on Saturday night at the AXIS Theatre inside the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and was headlined by Rousimar Palhares submitting Jake Shields to retain the WSOF welterweight title.
The complete WSOF 22 medical suspensions are below:
- Jake Shields: Must have orthopedic clearance on right shoulder and right knee, needs ophthalmological clearance or no contest until 02/01/16; minimum suspension no contest until 06/16/15, no contact until 09/01/15 left eyebrow laceration
- Marlon Moraes: Must have nose x-rayed, if positive then must be cleared by Dr or no contest until 02/01/16
- Jimmy Spicuzza: Suspended until 09/01/15 and no contact until 08/23/15
- Abubakar Nurmagomedov: Must have right foot x-rayed, if positive then must be cleared by Dr or no contest until 02/01/16
- Jorge Moreno: Suspended until 09/16/15 and no contact until 09/01/15 – right eyelid laceration
- Gil Guardo: Must have fractured nose cleared by Dr or no contest until 02/01/16; minimum suspension no contest until 09/16/15. no contact until 09/01/15
- Marco Simmons: Suspended until 09/01/15 and no contact until 08/23/15 – right eyelid laceration
- Davin Clark: Must have follow up with primary doctor regarding possible anemia after this fight and submit new blood test results before next fight.
