Two new fights have been added to next month’s WSOF 23 with the matchups being Timur Valiev vs. Tito Jones and Brian Foster vs. LaRue Burley.
Both fight bookings were announced by the WSOF on Wednesday.
WSOF 23 will come from the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona on September 18 and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as lightweight champion Justin Gaethje defends the lightweight title against Luis Palomino.
Valiev (9-1) has won nine in a row since losing his pro debut in 2010. His most recent win came in March as he defeated Ed West at WSOF 19. Jones (11-7) will be making his WSOF debut in this fight and he is 4-1 in his last five fights. He is coming off a TKO win in May and four of his five stoppage wins have come by TKO/KO.
Foster (22-7) lost his WSOF debut in January as he was submitted by Jake Shields. The defeat snapped a four fight winning streak and it was his sixth career defeat by submission. Burley (6-0) recently signed with the WSOF following a victory in RFA. He has won his last two fights by submission and went 3-0 in Bellator.
“We are looking forward to another incredible night of action, now that the main card for WSOF 23 is complete with five bouts featuring an exciting mix of championship fights and matchups filled with accomplished veterans and some of the world’s best prospects,” said World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo.
