Vagab Vagabov has a new opponent for next week’s WSOF 23 as Kelvin Tiller is out of the event due to undisclosed reasons and stepping up on seven days notice to face Vagabov will be Brian Grinnell.
The fight change was initially reported by MMA Junkie on Friday morning and the WSOF has since confirmed the change.
WSOF 23 will come from the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona on September 18 and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as lightweight champion Justin Gaethje defends the lightweight title against Luis Palomino.
Grinnell (8-6) is coming off a submission win in July against Levi Queen and he is 3-2 in his last five fights. Six of his eight wins have come by submission and five of those wins have come in the first round. Vagabov (15-0) is making his WSOF debut in this fight and he is coming off a win in April against Chris Katanga. Eleven of his fifteen wins have come by stoppage, with seven of those coming by TKO/KO.
