The co-main event of UFC 193 will be a title fight as women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her title against Valerie Letourneau.
UFC President Dana White announced the fight booking during a press conference today in Las Vegas.
UFC 193 will take place on November 15 (airs live on pay-per-view on November 14) from the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia and the card will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the women’s bantamweight title against Holly Holm.
Jedrzejczyk (10-0) became the UFC champion earlier this year when she defeated Carla Esparza by TKO at UFC 185. She is coming off a successful title defense against Jessica Penne in June, which was also a TKO win. Letourneau (8-3) has won four fights in a row and two of those wins have come in the UFC women’s strawweight division. her most recent win came last month as she defeated Maryna Moroz by unanimous decision.
