Philipe Lins has pulled out of his fight next week at Bellator 142 after coming down with Dengue Fever and stepping up to face Francis Carmont on short notice in the light heavyweight tournament alternate bout is Roy Boughton.
The fight change was confirmed to The MMA Report on Wednesday by a Bellator official.
Bellator 142: Dynamite will come from the SAP Center in San Jose, California on September 19 and will be headlined by a title fight as Liam McGeary defends the light heavyweight title against Tito Ortiz.
Boughton (12-5) is coming off a TKO victory two weeks ago against Dave Huckaba and is 4-2 in his last six fights. This will be his second fight in Bellator as he lost to Emanuel Newton in the opening round of the 2012 Summer Series light heavyweight tournament. Carmont (23-10) made his Bellator debut earlier this year and defeated Guilherme Viana by unanimous decision. The victory snapped a three fight losing streak and he is 12-3 in his last fifteen fights.
