A bantamweight bout that was reported earlier today is now official as Thomas Almeida will meet Anthony Birchak at UFC Fight Night 77.

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday evening.
UFC Fight Night 77 will come from Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 7 and will be headlined by a trilogy bout between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson.
Almeida (19-0) made his UFC debut last year and has gone 3-0 in the promotion. His most recent win came in July as he defeated Brad Pickett by knockout and he recently signed a new contract with the UFC. Birchak (12-2) has gone 1-1 in the UFC and is coming off a win in June against Joe Soto. He won that fight by TKO and four of his ten stoppage wins have come by TKO/KO.
