WSOF 25 took place on Friday night at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona and Brian Foster became the number one contender in the lightweight division as he won the one-night, eight-man lightweight tournament.
Foster was actually eliminated from the tournament when he lost in the opening round to Joao Zeferino by submission. However, he would be placed backed into the tournament when Mike Ricci would be unable to continue and he was placed in the tournament.
In the tournament final, Foster defeated Zeferino by knockout with nine second left in the second round and he will challenged lightweight champion Justin Gaethje sometime in 2016.
