Ultimate Fighter Nations welterweight winner Chad Laprise will be returning to the octagon in March as he will meet Alan Patrick in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night 84.
UFC officials confirmed the fight booking on Monday.
UFC Fight Night 84 will come from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia on Sunday, March 20 (Saturday, March 19 in North America) and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Mark Hunt meets former UFC champion Frank Mir.
Laprise (10-1) dropped down to the lightweight division after winning The Ultimate Fighter Nations welterweight tournament in 2014 and he will enter this fight following a TKO lost to Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Fight Night 74. Patrick (12-1) made his UFC debut in 2013 and he will also enter this fight following his first career defeat as he lost to Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 69.
