Diego Sanchez returns to lightweight, meets Jim Miller at UFC 196

After dropping down to featherweight last year, Diego Sanchez is returning to lightweight in March at UFC 197 as he will meet Jim Miller in the feature bout of the preliminary card on UFC Fight Pass.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday afternoon.

UFC 197 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on March 5 and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against current featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

Sanchez (25-8) only competed once at featherweight and lost to former title challenger Ricardo Lamas by unanimous decision. It was his third lost in his last four fights and Sanchez is 4-6 in his last ten. Miller (25-7, 1NC) has also dropped three of his last four fights and is coming off a submission lost in December against Michael Chiesa.
