Alex Oliveira replaces Tim Means, meets Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC Fight Night 83

With Tim Means out of UFC Fight Night 83 due to a potential Anti-Doping Policy Violation, Brazilian Alex Oliveira has agreed to step up on short notice to meet Donald Cerrone in the main event of the February 21st card in Pittsburgh.

UFC officials announced the change on Thursday afternoon.

UFC Fight Night 82 will come from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 21 and the main card will air on FS1.

Oliveira (13-3-1, 1NC) has won three in a row since dropping his UFC debut last year. His most recent win came in November as he defeated Piotr Hallmann by knockout in the third round at UFC Fight Night 77. Cerrone (28-7, 1NC) is coming off a lost against lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and the defeat snapped an eight fight winning streak. He lost to Dos Anjos by TKO and it was his 2nd career defeat by TKO/KO.
