The Bellator debut of Benson Henderson is set for April 22nd at Bellator 153 in Connecticut as he will be challenging welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov for the 170 pound title.
Bellator officials confirmed the fight booking on Tuesday.
Bellator 153 will come from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and the event will air live on Spike TV.
Koreshkov (18-1) won the Bellator welterweight title last year when he defeated Douglas Lima by unanimous decision at Bellator 140. He is currently on a five fight winning streak and he has gone 9-1 in Bellator. Henderson (23-5) moved up to the welterweight division last year and scored victories against Brandon Thatch and Jorge Masvidal. He is 4-2 in his last six fights and two of those victories have come by submission.
