Bellator 148 Medical Suspensions: Paul Bradley and Tony Johnson among fighters facing potential six month suspension

The medical suspensions for Bellator 148 have been released by the California State Athletic Commission and six fighters on the card are facing a potential six month suspension.

California State Athletic Commission Executive Director Andy Foster released the medical suspensions on Monday to The MMA Report after they were requested.

Bellator 148 took place this past Friday evening at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California and was headlined by Paul Daley defeating Andy Uhrich by knockout in the first round.

The complete Bellator 148 medical suspensions are below:

  • Andy Uhrich: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days.
  • Paul Bradley: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (left knee).
  • Chris Honeycutt: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days.
  • Ryan Couture: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days. Also, suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days or clear by physician (cut nose).
  • Tony Johnson: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (left hand).
  • Raphael Butler: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days.
  • Javy Ayala: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days, Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days (cut to nose), and suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (fractured nose).
  • Amber Tackett:  Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (left elbow).
  • Art Arciniega: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (left hand).
  • Te Edwards: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (left hand).
  • Nick Bustamonte: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days.
