A lightweight bout has been announced for UFC 197 in April as Ultimate Fighter 8 winner Efrain Escudero will meet Kevin Lee.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Thursday.
UFC 197 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 23 and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Daniel Cormier defends the light heavyweight title against former champion Jon Jones.
Escudero (24-10) is coming off a decision defeat against Leandro Silva in November and the defeat snapped a two fight losing streak. He is 2-2 since returning to the UFC and is 6-3 in his last nine fights. Lee (11-2) is also coming off a lost as he was defeated by Leonardo Santos in December. The defeat snapped a four fight winning streak and he is 4-2 in the UFC.
