Following win over Sage Northcutt, Bryan Barberena meets Warlley Alves for UFC event in Brazil

Bryan Barberena is coming off a submission win against Sage Northcutt at UFC on FOX 18 and he will look for another win in the UFC on May 14 when he meets Warlley Alves in Brazil.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.

The venue for the UFC event on May 14 in Brazil has not been announced by the promotion at this time and it has been rumored this event will serve as UFC 198.

Barberena (11-3) has won two of his three fights in the UFC and his other win in the promotion came against Joe Ellenberger at UFC on FOX 13 in 2014. Ten of his eleven wins have come by finish and eight of those victories are by TKO/KO. Alves (10-0) won The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 as a middleweight and has gone 3-0 in the UFC welterweight division. His most recent win came in December at UFC 194 against Colby Covington and it was his sixth career win by submission.
