A lightweight bout has been booked for April’s UFC 197 as Ultimate Fighter 15 alum James Vick will meets Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4 winner Glaico Franca in Las Vegas.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday.
UFC 197 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 23 and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Daniel Cormier defends the light heavyweight title against former champion Jon Jones.
Vick (8-0) is coming off a submission victory against Jake Matthews at UFC Fight Night 65. It was his fifth career win by stoppage and all of those victories have come in the opening round. Franca (13-3) defeated Fernando Bruno to win The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4 and it was his third straight win. He won that fight by submission and twelve of his thirteen wins have come by finish.
