John Lineker announces he is out of Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 83 due to illness

Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 83 fight card has seen another change as bantamweight John Lineker announced on Instagram earlier today that he is out of the event due to an illness.

COMUNICADO!! Galera todos sabem da epidemia de dengue em nossa cidade, embora venha tomando todos os cuidados necessários John Lineker pegou esta bendita dengue e por as plaquetas estarem baixas não poderá lutar no próximo domingo dia 21/02 A luta será adiada e ainda não temos data! John está triste por não poder lutar que é o que mais ama fazer, toda a preparação foi muito bem feita, ele viajaria amanhã terça feira 😓 Agradecemos toda equipe de preparação, todos os médicos que estão ajudando na recuperação do Lineker, todos os apoiadores muito obrigado. Pedimos desculpas os fãs que estavam esperando a luta neste domingo, logo teremos uma nova data contra o mesmo oponente Cody Garbrandt. Pedimos desculpas a @cody_nolove eu sei o quanto é ruim fazer toda preparação e não poder lutar, todos nós saímos prejudicados, porém tem coisas que não podemos evitar! The news of Lineker being out of the event comes just a couple of days after the UFC announced the welterweight bout between Brandon Thatch and Siyar Bahadurzada had been moved to UFC 196 due to Thatch being unable to get clearance from the Pennsylvania Commission due to a medication that he is permitted to use by USADA.
