UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos was scheduled to defend the 155 pound title next weekend in Las Vegas against Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 196, but he has reportedly pulled out of the fight with a broken foot.
The injury was reported by Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting on Tuesday morning and he reported that the injury happened late last week. As of Tuesday morning, the UFC has not officially announced that Dos Anjos is out of the event and if McGregor will remain on the card.
UFC 196 is scheduled to take place next Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and a limited amount of tickets are still available for the event.
