Heavyweight Greg Rebello will be looking for his fourth win in a row tonight at CES MMA 33 as he is going to meet Keith Bell in the fight card coming from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
Rebello (19-6) has been competing in the CES MMA cruiserweight division (225 lbs), but his fight tonight against Bell will be a heavyweight fight. During yesterday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Rebello talked about what led him to take a heavyweight fight instead of a fight at 225 pounds.
“To make 225, I would still have to diet down,” Rebello said. “I don’t really cut much weight. I walk around at like 250. For this fight, I get to eat a little more. I will probably be 240. It’s not really that big of an adjustment for me. It’s just tough finding opponents sometimes. It’s either going to be a 205 that’s going to come up to 225 or a heavyweight that can make 225. Had a little bit of trouble finding some guys so we settled for a heavyweight fight.”
