Desmond Green calls win last weekend in Akhmat lightweight tournament one of the best performances of his career

Former Titan FC featherweight champion Desmond Green returned to the lightweight division last weekend at the Akhmat Grand Prix lightweight tournament and defeated David Cubas by stoppage in the first round.

Green (16-5) will now meet Zurab Betergaraev in the semifinals of the tournament in May and he was a guest on yesterday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast” to discuss his victory last weekend. He talked about his impressive victory and called it one of the best performances of his career.

“I would definitely rank that as if not the best, one of my performances due to the dynamics,” Green explained. “Even the way I felt. Everything was perfect that night. Moving up to 155. I made weight the night before. Woke up and had breakfast. That was really just a game changer. Before, you had seem little parts of my dynamics. That fight, I was able to do that the whole time until it was pretty much over.”
