Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic official as main event of UFC 198

UFC 198 will be coming from the 40,000 seat Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil and will be headlined by a title fight as Fabricio Werdum will defend the UFC heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic.

The fight booking was officially announced by the UFC on Friday.

Werdum (20-5-1) won the interim UFC heavyweight title in 2014 with a win over Mark Hunt and became the undisputed champion in June of last year when he defeated Cain Velasquez. He is currently currently on a six fight winning streak and four of those wins came by stoppage. Miocic (14-2) has won five of his last six fights and is coming off a knockout win against Andrei Arlovski in January. He has eight wins in the UFC and his last three victories have come by stoppage.
