Gleristone Santos moves up to lightweight, meets Brent Primus at Bellator 153

After losing his Bellator debut at featherweight, Gleristone Santos is moving up to the lightweight division at Bellator 153 next month against Brent Primus.

The fight booking was announced by Bellator in a press release today.

Bellator 153 will come from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut on April 22 and will be headlined by a title fight as Andrey Koreshkov makes his first Bellator welterweight title defense against former WEC and UFC champion Benson Henderson.

Primus (6-0) is coming off a split decision win against Derek Anderson at Bellator 141 and he is 4-0 in Bellator. Three of his four wins in Bellator have come by stoppage and two of those victories have come by rear-naked choke submission. Santos (27-5) was defeated by John Teixeira at Bellator 143 by split decision and the defeat snapped a nine fight winning streak. Fifteen of his victories have come by stoppage and nine of those wins have come by TKO/KO.
