Two title fights set for WSOF 30 on April 2 in Las Vegas

The next World Series of Fighting (WSOF) will take place on April 2 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and the event will be headlined by a middleweight title fight as David Branch defends the WSOF title against Clifford Starks.

The event was officially announced in a press release on Monday and along with the middleweight title fight, the co-main event will be a vacant welterweight title fight as Jon Fitch meets Joao Zeferino. Along with the title fights, the promotion also announced Vinny Magalhaes vs. Jake Heun and Abu Azaitar vs. Danny Davis Jr. will take place on the April 2 fight card.

Branch (17-3) is currently on a seven fight and won the inaugural WSOF light heavyweight title in September with a submission victory against Teddy Holder. This will be his second middleweight title defense as he defeated Yushin Okami at WSOF 15 in late 2014. Starks (13-2) has won five in a row and three of those wins have come in the WSOF. His most recent win came in September as he defeated Krasimir Mladenov at WSOF 23.
