An undisclosed injury has forced Peter Sobotta to pull out of his UFC Fight Night 87 bout against Dominic Waters and stepping up to face Waters on the May 8 fight card in the Netherlands will be Leon Edwards.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night 87 will come from the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands on May 8 and the event will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Alistair Overeem will meet Andrei Arlovski.
Edwards (10-3) was signed by the UFC in 2014 and he has gone 2-2 in the promotion. His most recent fight came in December at UFC on FOX 17 and he lost a decision against Kamaru Usman. Waters (9-4) has lost both of his fights in the UFC and the most recent defeat came in November against Dong Hyun Kim. Prior to entering the UFC, he had won three in a row and five of his nine career victories have come by stoppage.
