Bellator 152: AJ McKee explains the distance between winning and losing in MMA

Undefeated featherweight AJ McKee will return to the Bellator cage next Saturday in Italy as he will meet Danilo Belluardo at Bellator 152 on the main card broadcast on Spike.

McKee (3-0) is coming off a stoppage win at Bellator 147 against JT Donaldson and all of his professional victories have come by stoppage in the opening round. During this past Thursday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” McKee talked about his upcoming fight in Italy and the distance between winning and losing in this sport.

“It can be very short,” McKee stated. “It’s a fight. All it can take is one punch and it’s over with. You have to make sure there is no room for error and trust in everything you do. And trust in your teammates. That is what it’s all about. Having great teammates and a great coach to push you through the times and the things you can’t get through or go through. That is where the mindset comes in. A lot of guys mentally break down and they mentally get weak when there bodies are still in shape. And ready to go through whatever they have to go through. Having your mind right and being mentally focused and strong is a big part of it all.”
