A featherweight bout between top contenders has been added to June’s UFC 199 fight card as Ricardo Lamas will meet Max Holloway in a bout that will likely be part of the main card broadcast on pay-per-view.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
UFC 199 will come from The Forum in Inglewood, California on June 4 and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Luke Rockhold defends the UFC middleweight title against former UFC champion Chris Weidman.
Lamas (16-4) has won three of his last four fights and is coming off a decision win against Diego Sanchez in November. Since entering the UFC in 2011, Lamas has gone 7-2 and four of those wins have come by stoppage. Holloway (15-3) is currently on an eight fight winning streak and will also enter this fight following a decision victory as he defeated Jeremy Stephens in December. During his recent winning streak, six of the eight wins have come by stoppage and four of them have come by TKO/KO.
