The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 90 on Thursday, July 7 will be a heavyweight bout as Ultimate Fighter 10 winner Roy Nelson will meet Derrick Lewis.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday evening.
UFC Fight Night 90 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against Eddie Alvarez.
Nelson (21-12) is coming off a decision victory against Jared Rosholt at UFC Fight Night 82 and the victory snapped a three fight losing streak. He is 8-8 in the UFC and seven of those victories have come by TKO/KO. Lewis (15-4, 1NC) has won his last three fights and is coming off a knockout victory against Gabriel Gonzaga. All of his victories have come by stoppage and 14 of his wins have come by TKO/KO.
