Isaac Fine will return to competition on Friday night at Valor Fights 32 in Knoxville, Tennessee as he will meet Cody Bruce in a light heavyweight bout.
Fine (3-0) has won all of his fights in the opening round and he is coming off a submission win against Frederick Weaver at Valor Fights 27. On this past Thursday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Fine joined the show to talk about his fight on Friday night and also explained the impact current UFC light heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux has had on him.
“Let’s start with the basics,” Fine explained. “He is probably one of the most explosive athletes in the UFC. So having someone with that has the level of athleticism and strength, makes me sharpen my techniques. If my technique is not perfect, I will not be able to hold him down. And on the other side of that, there is a lot of him pulling me to the side and say ‘hey, lets do this or work on this.’ Eric Turner is more of a mentor to all of us, but Ovince Saint Preux has helped me sharpen certain aspects of my game that he does really well, such as striking.”
