The main event of UFC on FOX 20 is now official as former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm will return to the octagon to meet Valentina Shevchenko on July 23 in Chicago.
The fight booking was made official by the UFC on Sunday during the UFC Fight Night 87 broadcast on FS1.
UFC on FOX 20 will come from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on July 23 and tickets will go on sale May 20.
Holm (10-1) lost the UFC women’s bantamweight title in March as she was submitted by Miesha Tate in the fifth round. It was her first title defense since defeating Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 and she is 3-1 in the UFC. Shevchenko (12-2) will also enter this fight following a defeat as she lost to Amanda Nunes at UFC 196 by unanimous decision. The defeat snapped a five fight winning streak and she is 1-1 in the UFC.
