A bantamweight rematch between former UFC champion T.J. Dillashaw and Raphael Assuncao is in the works to take place at UFC 200 on the televised preliminary card on FS1.
The potential fight booking was reported by UFC reporter Megan Olivi on Wednesday night’s edition of UFC Tonight.
UFC 200 will come from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 9 and the event will be headlined by a title unification bout as light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier meets interim light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in a rematch of their initial meeting at UFC 182.
The first meeting between Dillashaw and Assuncao took place in 2013 at UFC Fight Night 29 and Assuncao walked away with a split decision victory. Since that fight, Assuncao has only fought twice due to injuries and this will be the first fight for Dillashaw since losing the UFC bantamweight title in January against Dominick Cruz.
