Anthony Pettis drops to featherweight, meets Charles Oliveira at UFC on FOX 21

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is dropping down to the featherweight division and he will make his UFC 145 pound debut on August 27 at UFC on FOX 21 as he will meet Charles Oliveira.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday and along with announcing this fight, the promotion also announced a middleweight bout between Garreth McLellan and Alessio Di Chirico has been added to the preliminary card.

UFC on FOX 21 will come from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and more details on the event will be released in the coming weeks by the UFC.

Pettis (18-5) will be looking to snap a three fight losing streak at UFC on FOX 21 and his most recent lost came in April against Edson Barboza. During his losing streak, all of the defeats have come by decision and his last win came at the end of 2014 against Gilbert Melendez. Oliveira (21-5, 1NC) is coming off a win against Myles Jury in December and he has won five of his last six fights. His only lost in his last six fights came in August of last year as he was defeated by Max Holloway.
