Eric Spicely set to make official UFC debut against Sam Alvey at UFC Fight Night 91

A middleweight bout between Ultimate Fighter alums has been booked for next month’s UFC Fight Night 91 as Eric Spicely will make his official UFC debut against Sam Alvey.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday afternoon.

UFC Fight Night 91 will come from the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 13 and the event will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Ultimate Fighter winners as Tony Ferguson meets Michael Chiesa.

Spicely (8-0) was a member of Team Claudia on the current season of The Ultimate Fighter and lost to Andrew Sanchez in the semifinals. Six of his eight wins have come by stoppage and four of those wins have come by submission. Alvey (26-8, 1NC) has lost back to back fights and is coming off a decision defeat last weekend against Elias Theodorou. He is 3-3 in the UFC and all of his wins in the UFC have come by TKO/KO.
