Legacy FC champion Manny Vazquez explains what he wants to prove tomorrow night against Steven Peterson

The main event of tomorrow night’s Legacy FC 56 event in Dallas, Texas will be a title fight as Manny Vazquez makes his first bantamweight title defense as he is challenged by Steven Peterson.

Vazquez (9-1) won the vacant title earlier this year at Legacy FC 51 as he submitted Ricardo Ramos in the opening round. It was his second straight victory and five of his nine career wins have come by submission.

During Wednesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Vazquez was a guest on the show to preview his fight tomorrow night against Peterson at Legacy FC 51 and talked about what he wants to prove to the mixed martial arts community tomorrow night on the fight card coming from the Bomb Factory in Dallas.

“I just want to prove it was not an accident,” Vazquez told The MMA Report about what he wants to prove tomorrow night following his win earlier this year to claim the vacant Legacy FC bantamweight title. “It was going to happen. It was supposed to happen. I was just better than that guy and I want to prove that I am the guy that is number one in the that division right now so just have to prove it.”
