Darrion Caldwell believes he is the face of the Bellator bantamweight division

The main event of tonight’s Bellator 159 in Mulvane, Kansas will be a title eliminator fight in the bantamweight division as Darrion Caldwell will look to remain unbeaten as he will face Joe Taimanglo on the fight card coming from the Kansas Star Arena.

Caldwell (8-0, 1NC) is coming off a technical submission win against former Bellator champion Joe Warren and his last two victories have come by submission in the opening round. Since his victory over Warren, Caldwell has signed a contract extension with Bellator and he stated on Wednesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast” that he already feels he is the face of the Bellator bantamweight division.

“I do feel it. I feel like these guys — they have all been in the bantamweight for about three or four years and nobody is really solidifying it,” Caldwell stated. “I am the guy. I think these guys are just in my way. They are just a little speed bumps in the way.”
