Emil Meek was pulled from his UFC Fight Night 93 bout against Jessin Ayari last week by the promotion and the UFC has announced that UFC newcomer Jim Wallhead will be replacing Meek in the bout.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night 93 will come from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany on September 3 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Andrei Arlovski meets Josh Barnett.
Wallhead (29-9) is currently on a four fight winning streak and three of those wins have come by TKO/KO. His most recent win came in April as he defeated Gennadiy Kovalev by decision at WFCA 17. Ayari (15-3) was also recently signed by the UFC and he is coming off a decision win in April against Mickael Lebout. Eleven of his fifteen wins have come by stoppage and eight of those victories have come by stoppage.
