A reported heavyweight bout for October’s UFC Fight Night 97 in the Philippines is now official as Derrick Lewis will meet Marcin Tybura.
The fight booking was recently added to the official fight card lineup on the UFC website.
UFC Fight Night 97 will come from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on October 15 and will be headlined by a featherweight bout as Ricardo Lamas meets B.J. Penn.
Lewis (16-4, 1NC) is currently on a four fight winning streak and is coming off a split decision win against Roy Nelson. He has won seven of his nine fights in the UFC and six of those wins have come by TKO/KO. Tybura (14-2) lost his UFC debut earlier this year and is coming off a knockout win against Viktor Pesta at UFC Fight Night 92. He is 2-2 in his last four fights and twelve of his fourteen wins have come by stoppage.
