Michael Chandler will defend Bellator lightweight title in November against Benson Henderson

Bellator will be returning to the SAP Center in San Jose, California on November 19 and the fight card will be headlined by a title fight as Michael Chandler will defend the lightweight title against former UFC champion Benson Henderson.

The fight booking was made official by Bellator today in a press release.

Tickets for this Bellator fight card will go on sale to the public on Friday, September 2 at Bellator.com, as well as SAP Center Box Office and Ticketmaster. The Bellator Nation pre-sale offer will begin on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Chandler (15-3) became a two-time Bellator lightweight champion in June when he defeated Patricky “Pitbull” Freire by knockout to claim the vacant 155 pound title. He is currently on a three fight winning streak and two of those wins have come in the opening round. Henderson (24-6) secured this title shot by defeating Patricio “Pitbull” Freire this past Friday night at Bellator 160. He is 3-1 in his last four fights and has gone 1-1 in Bellator.
