Michał Materla vs. Rousimar Palhares headlines KSW 36 on October 1

Former KSW middleweight champion Michał Materla will be headlining KSW 36 on October 1 as he will meet former WSOF welterweight champion Rousimar Palhares.

The fight booking was announced by KSW in a press release on Monday and the promotion also announced that light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun will defend the KSW title against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in the co-main event of the fight card.

KSW 36: Materla vs. Palhares will come from the Sport and Entertainment Hall in Zielona Gora, Poland and the event will air on the promotions website.

Materla (23-5) is coming off a TKO win in May against Antoni Chmielewski in May and he is 4-1 in his last five fights. Seventeen of his twenty-three wins have come by stoppage and twelve of those wins have come by submission. Palhares (18-7) will enter this fight following a knockout lost to Emil Weber Meek at Venator FC 3 and the defeat snapped a four fight winning streak. All of his stoppage victories have come by submission and his last five wins are by submission.
