Germaine de Randamie recently pulled out of her scheduled bantamweight bout against Ashlee Evans-Smith at UFC Fight Night 93 and stepping up to face Evans-Smith on short notice will be UFC newcomer Veronica Macedo.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night 93 will come from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany on September 3 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Andrei Arlovski meets Josh Barnett.
Macedo (5-0) is coming off a submission victory last month against Karine Gevorgyan at Mix Fight Events and two of her five victories have come by stoppage. All of her professional fights have taken place in 2016 as her pro debut happened back in March. Evans-Smith (4-1) has gone 1-1 in the UFC and is coming off a split decision victory in February at UFC Fight Night 83 against Marlon Reneau. Four of her five professional fights have made it to the third round and two of her four wins have come by TKO.
