Jason Jackson talks about his time on TUF 21 and why he did not compete at Victory FC 52 in July

Ultimate Fighter 21 alum Jason Jackson will be returning to competition on Friday night at Titan FC 41 as he will meet Cristiano Souza on the fight card coming from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Florida.

Jackson (5-2) trains out of the Blackzilian camp and was initially scheduled to meet Steve Carl on this fight card. However, Carl had to pull out of the fight due to medical reasons and he will now meet Souza.

This will be the first fight for Jackson since winning the Victory FC welterweight title in February as he defeated Victor Moreno by stoppage to win the vacant title. He was scheduled to defend that title in July, but he was pulled from the event during fight week due to medical reasons and he recently explained to The MMA Report that issue has since been cleared.

“The doctor did not clear because I did a blood work like four months ago and everything came back clean,” Jackson said. “Last minute, I find out that they had to do another blood work. The doctor did not clear me on time when I just got back from Vegas because I went to shoot some UFC promo and I did not get back until the week of the fight. I did not get the blood work back in time to be cleared by the doctor.”

Take a listen to Jackson’s complete interview with The MMA Report, which was record when he was scheduled to fight Carl.
