Joanna Jedrzejczyk set to defend strawweight title at UFC 205 against Karolina Kowalkiewicz

A second title fight has been added to UFC 205 on November 12 in New York City as Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend the women’s strawweight title against Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

The fight booking was confirmed by the UFC on Friday afternoon following a report earlier in the day by Flo Combat. Along with announcing this fight booking, the UFC also confirmed that former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will meet Rocky Pennington at UFC 205.

UFC 205 will come from Madison Square Garden and the main event for the fight card will be announced in the next couple of days by the promotion.

Jedrzejczyk (12-0) is coming off a successful title defense in July at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale against Claudia Gadelha and she is 6-0 in the UFC. Kowalkiewicz (10-0) made her UFC debut at the end of last year and she secured this title shot by defeating Rose Namajunas by split decision at UFC 201 in July.
