Ruslan Magomedov has been notified by USADA of a potential Anti-Doping violation due to an out-competition drug test he recently submitted.
The potential Anti-Doping violation was announced by the UFC in a statement on Monday evening.
“The UFC organization was notified that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Ruslan Magomedov of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection made on September 7, 2016,” the UFC statement said. “USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
Magomedov (14-1) is currently on a nine fight winning streak and three of those wins have come in the UFC. All of his wins in the UFC have come by decision and his last fight took place last year at UFC 192 as he defeated Shawn Jordan.
