Seven fights announced for WSOF 33 preliminary card including rematch between Chris Gutierrez and Timur Valiev

The next World Series of Fighting (WSOF) event will take place on October 7 in Kansas City and the promotion has announced seven fight bookings for the preliminary card including a bantamweight rematch between Chris Gutierrez and Timur Valiev.

WSOF officials announced the fight bookings in a press release on Thursday and the other six fights that were announced today are Jesse Brock vs. Bekbulat Magomedov, Abu Azaitar vs. Mike Arrant, Islam Mamedov vs. Alonzo Martinez, Magomed Magomedkerimov vs. Bobby Cooper, Bryce Mitchell vs. Brandon Phillips and Bruno Santos vs. Clinton Williams.

WSOF 33 will come from the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium and will be headlined by a title fight as Justin Gaethje defends the lightweight title against Ozzy Dugulubgov.

Gutierrez (9-1-1) scored a split decision victory at WSOF 28 against Valiev and he is unbeaten in his last eight fight. The defeat for Valiev (10-2) snapped a ten fight winning streak and both of his career defeats have come by decision.
