The main event of Friday’s Unified MMA 28 fight card will be a title fight as Joe Yager will challenge heavyweight champion Tanner Boser on the fight card coming from the Royal Palace Banquet Hall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Yager (11-4) has won six of his last seven fights and is coming off back to back victories against former Unified MMA heavyweight champion Tony Lopez. His most recent win over Lopez came in March as he scored a decision victory at UR Fight 1 and this will be his second fight of 2016.
On Monday evening, I had the opportunity to talk with Yager about his fight on Friday in Edmonton against Yager. We discussed what he sees as Boser’s biggest strengths and proclaimed that he hopes that Boser is “ready to embrace the grind.”
