A matchup of undefeated featherweights has been booked for CES MMA 39 as Peter Barrett will meet Jeremy Davis on the November 4 fight card in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
The fight booking was announced by CES MMA on Friday.
CES MMA 39 will come from the Plymouth Memorial Hall and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Chuck O’Neil will look for his third straight victory when he meets Wilfredo Santiago.
Barrett (6-0) has won his last five fights by stoppage in the opening round after winning his professional debut in 2014 by stoppage in the third round. He is coming off a TKO victory at Cage Titans 28 against Jeff Anderson and five of his six victories are by TKO/KO.
“This fight will end very similar to my previous fights,” said Barrett. “I don’t think he understands who he’s getting in the cage with. I’m a big featherweight, and I’m a very dangerous fighter. That’s not a good combination for my opponent. I’m going to put him away.”
Davis (3-0) also has won all of his professional fights by stoppage and two of those victories have come by submission. His most recent victory came in June at Cage Titans 29 as he defeated Don Shainis by TKO at the end of the opening round.
“My plan is always to get in and get out — I come with it,” Davis said. “My opponent is game, for sure, and he’s going to bring everything he’s got. But I’m a different breed of mixed martial artist. I’m ready to showcase what I’ve been working on and I will knock him out.”
